Train the Trainer

As part of the our campaign the AFL team, Skillnet and Building Bridges Training developed The Train the Trainer course.  This innovative initiative enables people with learning disabilities to become traineres supporting other young people with a learning disabilities to aspire to have paid work.

This three-day training course is suitable for people with and without training experience although it's preferable if they have some experience of paid employment.  Participants can achieve a Level 1 in ‘Improving Own Learning and Performance’, a National Open College Network qualification.

Shortly, we will be providing on this website the complete training package so you can deliver Train the Trainer in your area.  For now, please see This session plan gives you an outline of what's covered on day one and this one details what's covered on day two.
